I am a member of this lake and have been fishing it quite regular. The lake sometimes does throw up a blank but when it fishes, it fishes.You have in total about 15 different species of fish from gudgen to mirror carp, no pike or perch. As for best pegs, pegs 1 and 70 are the most prolific in good size carp catches. The jetty also brings good results.

As for best bait, if your after the silvers then red maggot works all the time. as for carp, dog meat and dog biscuit work well. Luncheon meat, cheese, bread, pepperoni hot will all work but carp being carp will feed on anything when they feel like it. Hope you have better luck next time you visit biggin, try out peg 70 with a pole, you will have a good day to remember.
