Here are some tips for Weston Lake at peakirk sent in by Damian Elcock. |
||
I fished Weston Lake a lot last season with a friend of mine and I can confirm that there are some big carp in there. The biggest we have had is 22lb, but have seen what look like a couple of high twenties! Best method we have found is to take cubed luncheon meat, put it in a bait box, add some medium curry powder, then shake until covered and leave overnight. We fish it on hair rigs, either float fishing hard on the bottom, or standard semi-fixed bolt rigs. Best chances are hard against the island or right under your toes. On a good day 20 fish averaging 7 to 8lbs is easily done. Hope this helps other anglers checking out the site. Damian |
